Dinner at a local pub....suggestions wanted

My husband and I are staying at the Marriott Grosvenor Square for a few days in March and would like to have suggestions and recommendations for dinner at a local pub in the area. We aren't looking for fancy, gourmet, or expensive - but a place where the locals frequent. Thanks

I saw a place on a Rick Steves video the other day, Gordon's Wine Bar. Can't remember what area it's in, though, but it sounded wonderful. I'm going to look it up when we're there in June. Let me know what you think if you go there!

Thanks G Hopper for the tip to check "Fancy A Pint" It's a great site! Question....I had thought you could get a light meal at a pub in addition to a beer. Food was not mentioned much. Do pubs serve food and if so what type of menus do they have? Thanks

Gordon's wine bar is great and well worth a visit - is tucked away next to one of the major stations. It is very old with rooms off rooms, low ceilings etc. However it is very definately not a pub. Was fairly quiet when we were there and appeared to be frequented bu locals in suits after work. I would just find a pub walking around - and ignore the chain ones - e.g. slug and lettuce.
