Dinner After Opera
A friend and I will be attending a Sunday afternoon (1430) performance of La Damnation de Faust at the Opera Bastille in June. We would like to have a nice dinner afterwards. Can anybody recommend any restaurants within walking distance? Thank you.

Bofinger is a short stroll and is a wonderful traditional brasserie.
If you book on line you also will get a 15% discount. Here's the website: http://www.bofingerparis.com/en/ |
I should point out the discount does not apply to any of the set menus, however.

topping for the poster since apparently she/he couldn't find this one.

You also have a couple of nice asian restaurants in the area : the China Club rue de Charenton, and the Blue Elephant rue de la Roquette.
After dinner, of before, you can have a walk at Place des Vosges, which is pretty close. |
Thank you both for your suggestions...I can't wait to go!

I also have a problem with an evening opera in Barcelona that begins at 8 pm, ends around 11:30 pm. How do we have dinner? We'll grab some tapas on our way but what about afterwards -- most places seem to stop serving dinner by 11:30 pm. We heard there are some late night places on the waterfront although i don't think that's very near the opera house.

In my research for my trip, I'm finding a lot of restaurants in Paris are closed on the weekends...does anybody else find this strange?
