Dining in Positano

Can anyone suggest moderately priced restaurants in and around Positano--we will be at La Fenice and will have a car for 2 nights. Many thanks.

Robyn,
as you have a car, reach a village of Positano, up the hill, named Montepertuso and have a very good dinner at Donna Rosa. I'm sure you'll like it. Elegant and moderate price.
It is closed on Monday.
Another evening, without car, I suggest you, in the center of Positano, 'O Capurale: very good, too.
Have a nice trip.

Parking on a street in Positano is an absolute nightmare. This was April last year - not peak season. Consider yourself fortunate if you find one. The streets are very narrow. On one street, I thought we were on a narrow one-way and it turned out the traffic was both ways! Cars are parked as close to the mountain as possible. You do not want to park in a 'no parking' zone. I don't know where La Fenice is, but save your nerves and take a bus. I, quite simply, could not believe it. Our planned 5 night stay in Positano turned out to be 2. We felt if we moved the car, we'd never find another parking spot and we didn't want to go thru the headache (plus time) of trying to find another one.

We had an abslutely beautiful meal at Max (right in main area of Positano). It is part resaurant - part art gallery. Try to go on an evening when Bello Bello (don't you love it?) is singing. He is a REAL treat!
D

Stayed in Positano a few years ago. Ate frequently at the hotel restaurant...Poseidon. Vey nice, especially the Veal and the Seafood Salad.

RobynFrance:

Try Chez Black. It is right by the water and the specialty is a fish
soup. It is to die for!
Have a great trip.
Kay

Thanks--these all sound wonderful--mant to say we will be at La Fenice for 5 days and have car for 2. Wondering if there is any concern walking back to La Fenice after dark from the town restaurants--my understanding is about 2 kilometers--any safety concerns there? Can't wait to try these wonderful spots!
