Dining at Hotel de Russie
 

Has anyone had lunch, dinner, or an afternoon drink/snack at the de russie and can report on the experience? The garden looks amazing!

I'll top it again for you. It may be that the majority of folks who regularly post here might not consider that particular place an option for them because of its cost, etc.

We stayed at the hotel and breakfasts and one lunch there, so I can't say much aobut dinner. The courtyard is lovely and the staff are very nice. The food was good, but as I said it was breakfasts and one lunch so it is hard to judge. It seemed like a poplular place for dinner, and there was a wedding in the courtyard one night as well. I don't believe the restaurant gets the raves that other restaurant hotels get, like the restaurant at the Eden.

I stayed at the hotel and had dinner there one evening. The atmosphere and service are both excellent, as was the food. It it a great place to enjoy a special evening out.

we 'dropped by" the Hotel de Russie in the late afternoon last Christmas, had a couple of drinks and relaxed in the bar. It's a very pretty haven, very tranquil and the garden was lovely especially when lit up at night. I don't know that I'd go out of my way to go there but it's a nice place if you're in the neighborhood.

What's out of the way about the de Russie? It's 2 minutes fron Pza de Spagna on the Pza de Popoli!

Astonishing as it may be it is possible to spend time in Rome and not make it to these areas!

We had dinner in the garden in September, and thought it was excellent; one of the most memorable dinners ever, beautiful surroundings, fantastic foor (we had a tasting menu, with lots of different courses). I have also had dinner indoors, but this was just after the hotel had opened, and I thought it the atmosphere was a bit cold.

We ended up having drinks in the beautiful garden after a wonderful visit to the spa. Such a nice haven from the scorching heat of Rome.
