Dingle B&B

We are looking for a B&B close to all the pubs Any feedback on the following places:
Captains House (hesitant because they don't offer parking)
Pax House
Castlewood
Lighthouse
Or are we better off staying in the Dingle Bay Hotel.

Of the places you listed I would stay a Caslewood. It is about a 10 minute walk into town yet in a quieter area overlooking Dingle Bay.

Please excuse my misspelling of Castlewood! Also look into Heaton's right next door.

I think this one looks good. I am thinking about it.

lyban,

It looks nice on the website. You may want to inquire if they have private parking. Seems to be right across from the docks and parking lot there. It might be noisy at night.

We loved Heaton's, which is next door to Castlewood. We had a great deluxe room, and their breakfast choices are just fantastic. I wish I had those unique pancakes again...they are like a muffin in texture with a crunchy top. Heaton's has parking, and from there it's a 10-minute walk into town along sidewalks. Quiet to sleep at night. Our favorite pub in Dingle was Murphy's for trad music, and you can walk to Murphy's from Heaton's. If you want to walk to the opposite end of town from Heaton's, it will of course be a few more blocks.

Have fun, Dingle town is fun and the Dingle Peninsula is wild and beautiful and dotted with bits of ruins.

We stayed at the Captain's House and loved it! We had a car, and didn't have any trouble parking it on the street by the hotel for a couple of days.

Captain's House is located in the heart of Dingle and may be the closest to pubs/restaurants. Once you find a spot for the car (I've never had trouble doing that), you're within easy walking distance of most of Dingle Town.

It's also a very nice B&B.

Thanks for all the advice.

We just stayed at the Captain's House in early July and it was great. It's a beautiful home and the breakfast was amazing. Mary, the hostess, is such a warm person. It is centrally located and parking was not a problem. In fact, we got there around 5:00pm and Mary had a parking spot waiting for us in the alley behind the house.
