They left Dijon at the end of February for a big tour in the US and I would have loved to go with them! There was a thread about it last May http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...ng-exhibit.cfm
:-)
PS thanks again mimi for forwarding me the newsletter about Dijon, I do hope everyone will want to discover my city!

I went twice in May to see them at the Metropolitan Museum. They were really spectacular

Thanks for the post, cigale, and also to coco and Margaret for the links.

We visited Dijon for 2 nights last summer, and the tombs with the mourners were certainly the highlight! We must have stayed over an hour in that one room alone.

And this fall we have another stay in Dijon, so it's sad to know they are gone. From the links, tho, it seems that only the mourners from the tomb of John the Fearless are on tour. The remaining parts of the exhibit have been moved to a different room, now in cases for protection during the rehab.

The good news is they're coming to Dallas, only a few hours' drive away. We'll be sure to visit them when they come to Texas!

I have friends in San Francisco that will enjoy this exhibition as much as I will. So San Francisco here I come! Thanks for the post, cigale, as otherwise I'd probably have missed it.
