I've searched, but I'd love more recent opinions.

We will have 3 nights in both Bergundy and Alsace in August for our honeymoon. Wondering which town to base our stay for each, but still include a day trip to the other.

I love quaint, charming towns but we also like to "do", not just wander and sit, although sometimes that is nice. Good food and drink is important to us, museums not as much but we love architecture.

Recommendations?
