difference between French visa's

hi guys,
Im from Australia and lived in the UK from the 2nd of august this year, I want to live and work in the french alps for a UK based company.
now the UK company's require me to have an A1 visa but i cant find alot about it..
I currently hold a French working Visa TYPE D. can anyone tell me if this is the same or what i need to do to make this happen ? cheers

Have you thought about contacting the French consulate?

If the UK company wants you to work there they should be providing the info and support of an attorney to sort it out.

Type D working holiday visa allows you to work in France for a year. I don't know what A1 visa is but your type D is perfect for your needs.

I don't know much about this either, in the US, an A1 visa is for diplomats, but it's probably different in France. Are you sure they were talking about a visa? Because there is a Form A1 which indicates which country is covering your social security payments.
