Did the Cappuccini Convento reopen yet? (In Amalfi)
 

I haven't been to Amalfi in about a year, does anyone know if this hotel has completed its refurbishing?

It was definitely closed when I was in Amalfi in December. And it looked like that's a whole lot of work to be done, and not much seem to be going on (it was 12/30/06). I would be surprised if it reopens within a year.

Oh rkkwan, your beautiful photos make me want to jump on a plane. It is such a beautiful setting, I sure hope they do finish it in my lifetime.

I wonder if I could go up to the grounds.

I have such fond memories of a lunch (a very long lunch) I had there on the balcone of the Cuppucino Convento the first time I was in Amalfi...Ohhh those enormous and succulent grilled shrimps with fresh mint, indimenticabile, I can still taste them!!
