Devon, Cornwall, Wales itinerary help needed : Part Two

After many suggestions here and a lot of consideration our itinerary is now a little different and we've added possible accommodation. If anyone has thoughts about either we would appreciate comments.

Arrive Heathrow - first night in Windsor at Rainworth House.

Next day drive to Salisbury stay at Cathedral View B & B

Next day off to Dartmouth. Overnight at Nonsuch or Cladda B & B

Then to St Ives for 3 days at 11 Seaview Terrace

Then to Wells at Canon Grange House

Then to Tenby for 2 nights at St Lawrence Country House

Next day to Dolellgau at undecided accommodation

Then to Conwy for 4 nights at Tir Y Coed Country House

Then to Martin, Lincolnshire ( family ) for 2 nights at Chaplin House B & B

Then to overnight at Heathrow for next day flight.

From the above it may look a bit like we are driving all the time but most of these days are short drives and could be over by lunchtime.

Comments much appreciated.

hi galiano,

well, I still think that it's a shame to go all the way to Dartmouth just to leave it again in the morning, but you seem intent on that.

i like the look of your hotel in St. Ives.

Well I just can't see any way of having 2 days in Dartmouth without cutting a destination. The reality is we could have spent our whole 18 days in Devon and Cornwall and then done Wales another time. Sigh.......

There IS that option :)

Salisbury to Dartmouth is nearly 4.5 hours - and then you are leaving the next morning for another 3+ hour drive to St Ives. I agree w/ annhig - you won't have much time in Dartmouth at all.

This started out as a trip to wales so we can't cut days there. I expect we will arrive in Dartmouth by noon which gives us all afternoon there - better than not going for sure. We have extra days in places like Tenby and Conwy and right after Dartmouth we have 3 days in St Ives.

How will you get to Dartmouth by noon? Not if you eat breakfast in Salisbury and check out of the B&B anyway. I'd plan on being in Dartmouth by 2PM if all goes well.
