Deutsche Alpenstrasse
 

We are visiting Bavaria in July and love the look of the driving the Alpenstrasse just for the mountain views.

We are hiring a car and our journey will commence in Konigssee (spending two days/ nights there), before staying over night at Bad Tolz, then heading to Innsbruck for the day / night before basing ourselves overnight at garmisch partenkirchen before finishing the drive with 2 nights in Friedrichshafen.

I know we will see a lot of other towns and villages along the way. Is this a particularly good itinerary or is there somewhere else anyone can suggest as being an alternative destination along the alpinestrasse.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
