Detailed street maps for France on the web
Looking for the most detailed maps on the web for Lyon and Grenoble. Any maps such as this Paris map link?

http://www.geocities.com/~proloc2/z6/A00.html

Even without looking at the link you have provided, I can tell you that I have been impressed with the maps on www.ammpy.com - - hard to compete with a PUBLISHED map (i.e., Michelin, etc) with something you get off the internet - - especially for a city as big as Lyon. But one nice thing about mappy is that you CAN splice their "zoomed-in" maps together perfectly to make a much larger map on your own (using PaintShop, for example) - - if you so choose.

Best wishes,

Rex
Ack!! www.mappy.com - - not www.ammpy.com!!
Mappy is not bad-had that bookmarked. Yahoo's uk site --not bad.

http://uk.maps.yahoo.com/
It's not exactly the same, but quite detailed.

http://www.tcl.fr/

Select "plans." You can download a PDF. It's a transit map, but it includes small streets.

try www.maporama.com.

The best: go to http://www.wanadoo.fr/bin/frame2.cgi?u=http://photosvilles.wanadoo.fr
The photos des villes at Wanadoo give you addresses, street maps - and photos of every facade in Paris, Lyon, marseille, Nice, Bordeaux, Lille, Strasbourg, and Toulouse.
<<you CAN splice their "zoomed-in" maps together perfectly to make a much larger map on your own>>

Can anyone explain what this means exactly?
|
This may be similar to the wanadoo site, but more cities available (lots of photos of every dinky building):
http://wfa.pagesjaunes.fr/rc.cgi?

xxx, what's meant is: small maps of neighborhoods can be pasted together to create a larger map of the city
