Desperately seeking advise!!!

2 young couples with 3 kids (ages 3,6,10)looking for recommendations for a villa rental anywhere in Europe. Must be walking distance to beach. Fun area with activities for kids and adults. I know it's late, but we would love to get first hand references on where we can get information on rentals of villa or a small, private hotel.

This website ('initaly.com') has an article about great family beach resorts in Italy:

http://www.initaly.com/regions/seaside/family.htm.

Well if England is part of Europe (I'm of the generation that has profound doubts about this), look at the National Trust webpage. They have some amazing cottages of character

Victoria--- Strongly recommend Southern Spain; Marbella, Malaga, Cadiz. Sandy beches, golf courses, outstanding sightseeing, natural parks, great for families. Spain and Portugal remain two of the most inexpensive European countries with incredible vacation opportities.

There is a site http://www.vrbo.com that have very nice vacation properties for rent by the owners. I heard good things about them; the site has pictures of villas and apartments available in Southern Spain. Strongly advise you checked this site.

Thanks for the website info, that's a great start. We were hoping for some first-hand recommendations from people who rented a villa that they liked. Please help.
