Desparate...Trenitalia HELP!!

Trying to book four tix Florence-Venice. I get all the way to the BUY section and the trenitalia site requires user ID and password. SO....I register...it says it will mail me the password to my email. Tried three times, three different emails... NEVER got a password.
Decided I could try calling, but the call center where one can make reservations only gives 6 digits, no city code...not possible from the US.

SOMEONE...HELP!!!!
and thanks!!

or you could walk up to the counter when you arrive and buy the tickets. The trains run so frequently there's no need to purchase them in the US. I buy them a day ahead, while in Italy or sometimes arrive 30-40 minutes before the next train leaves and purchase them then.

I tried and tried to get tickets on that site. I don't know how much time you have but I went to Italia Rail which is a North American site for Trenitalia and in a flash, I reserved my tickets. I did so on a Friday afternoon and had them by DHL on Saturday. Nomial charge and no frustrations!

Steve,
I see you have an aol account. I had this same problem, never got the email and was not even in my spam folder. Tried 3 different times. Openned up a free email account with yahoo, no problem, but the email did take about 3 days to arrive at the yahoo account. I have had quite alot of trouble receiving email back from Italy using my aol address for some reason. Hope this helps

I too have had trouble with the site, and so we waited until we were in Rome to buy them. And rather than deal with the lines at the train station being tickets, we went to a local travel agent with a Trenitalia sticker in the window. They will do the tickets and the seat reservations at no charge. Unlike trying to figure out the seating online, they KNOW how to get you the type seats you want. Also they ended up getting us a special on Eurostar that I sure never found on the website, so it saved us money as well.

Hi S,

Good advice above.

Indeed, for whatever reason, trenitalia won't email to aol. Using another email worked fine, though it also would only accept one of my 'minor' credit cards, having refused 3 amex cards and mastercard!

Thanks for the heads up!

Steve

Just to be contrary, I registered, got my email, bought my tickets within 30 minutes, first credit card I input into the form. I count myself lucky.
