My last day in Munich. I met three young college students from the Detroit area during a tour of Dachau. This was all of theirs first trip to Europe.

After the tour we headed to the Hofbrauhaus where we drank lots of beer and they picked my brain about Rome and Paris, the other two stops on their trip.

From there we headed out to dinner. They insisted on paying for mine just becuase I let then use my phone to call home.

In the Bari Gotic or historic center of Barcelona. It was the end of May and we had just gotten off a transatlantic cruise, that was a little too long for me. We were just strolling along looking at the buildings and statues and people, and had just walked under an arch when I heard a trio of street musicians playing in a courtyard off to the side. The acoustics were amazing and the weather was perfect and the area was so lovely. The music was just stunning in it's beauty, and I basically sunk to my knees. I was completely overcome with the moment and what a lucky, lucky girl I was to be there at that time and experience what only a few people, (in relation) to how many people are on planet Earth, have the opportunity to do the same as me. We have had incredible things happen to us on our travels, but this one was magicical.

In Granada at the Alhambra during Sunday service. Just eating a boca and waiting for a tour of the Palace when service let out. I was very moving even though I am not very religious. Standing there and watching the devout procession with no notice of tourists and other distractions.

1) Sailing on the Danube thru Budapest at night with the city all lit up - beautiful!

2) Chasing thieves thru a Barcelona metro station - shouting "ladrones, ladrones" after watching them attempt to pick pocket an elderly gentleman boarding the train.
