I could save a bundle if I could just buy the hardware at those prices - does anyone know the difference between those listed, and where an American patient can get them?

As an aside to other posters, dentistry in Budapest is considered an art and has an outstanding worldwide reputation. As an anecdote, I met a couple at the Hilton a few years ago who were there for extensive dental work, second time. I thought it unusual at the time until I did some reading.

I can't get over these "US best in the world" statements--someone ought to check our rankings on the worldwide childbirth infant mortality tables (around 37th), as an example, and factor in what we're paying for all this supposed best in the world medical and dental treatment.

My dental insurance is MetLife and the family plan is about $65 per month with a $50 annual deductible per family.
