Denmark itinerary- suggestions?
Hello,
I was thinking of visiting Denmark this summer, towards the end of July. I have about 10 days for the trip, and a good budget. My idea for the itinerary (with suggestions from Danish friend): 3 days in Copenhagen 1 day in Sweden- Malmo and Lund Helsingor Roskilde Odense- see Egeskov castle as well Århus Aalborg Skagen Copenhagen So, 4 nights in Copenhagen, 1 night in Roskilde, 1 night in Århus, 1 night in Skagen. Would I be spending too much/too little time in a certain place? I was also considering taking the ferry from Fredrikshavn in Denmark to Goteborg in Sweden, spending 2 nights in Goteborg, before driving back to Copenhagen. Is it worth going to Goteborg? Thanks, lualpache |

Take in the Louisiana Mod Museum in Humlbaek, close to Helsingor. It would be a shame to miss it, seeing that you have 10 days. Skagen is a long auto trip to the tip of Jutland. We have a friend who was born and lived there most of her early life...always called Skagen the dullest town in Denmark..then again, she was a teenager during her days in Skagen. Take in Frederiksborg Palace en route to and from Helsingors. Four nights will give you a good sense of Copenhagen. We enjoyed the Ibsen Hotel, a 15 minte walk to the Stroyet pedestrian street. The pics may give you a good a familiarization for at least Zealand. |
...and since you're contemplating Norway, too...here's some stuff on Norway to help you with travel ideas therein...I strongly recomend the Norway in a Nutshell train, boat, bus segment.
