Denmark - Cell Phone Rental Locally

We are looking to rent a cell phone upon arrival in Denmark, at the Copenhagen airport. Trip is too soon to rent one via Fed Ex, and our current phone does not support a new SIM card.

Any suggestions?

TIA -

Buy a cheap one at a used cell phone shop. I'd be surprised if you spent more than 20 Euro on a phone.

I should note, we are flying into Copenhagen from the US.

I think that was clear. My answer remains.

I don't see any obvious electronics shops at CPH web site shop list who can activate phone services. I suspect it is difficult to find info on rentals abroad, since anyone that travels often already owns a phone and no need to know about phone rentals.

If you want a capability right now, I can think of a way, not necessarily cheap. I presume you are from the US. Visit a t-mobile store, buy a phone capable of operating in Europe, get their $50 no-contract plan with included international roaming and cancel when you get back.

It looks like you have gone through this exercise in 2010. What did you then? You seem to travel to Europe often, why would you not consider owning an international capable phone for use at home as well as in Europe?

And what does "current phone does not support a new SIM card." means? It could be:
1. Your phone supports a full size SIM, but not mini, micro, nano SIM card --> they have adapter kit for that
2. Your phone is locked. Have it unlocked in just an hour by bugging your carrier.
3. Your phone lacks SIM slot. No solution for this one

Thank you for your replies - in an effort to be concise, I left out some information that seems important. This is a last minute work trip - meaning that in order to expense the phone, it needs to be a rental. This is not a situation where we want to upgrade our personal phones - the addition of kids has slowed down our European travel

We were able to pre-arrange a phone at the Korea airport that was picked up onsite in the same situation last year, and I was hoping that someone had a similar experience at the Copenhagen airport. We are travelling from there to a smaller airport in Denmark, so going offsite to purchase something was not an option. Honestly, I was just hoping someone knew of a rental kiosk, since there is not one listed on their airport website.

Thank you -

I see. S. Korea does not offer a good rental usage model for Europe. They use a mobile system for voice different from the US or Europe. They use CDMA and not GSM for voice and their CDMA is different from the US CDMA. So a likelihood for a foreign visitor possessing a S. Korea compatible voice phone is low, to make the rental business viable.
