Delta's Business Class - Flat Bed Seats

Has anyone flown Business Class with Delta recently ? I was upgraded to BC (ATL-Munich) however, the DL rep told me we would need to be seated across from each other due to a partition between the two middle seats. She told me to google it for more info. I did however, the seats with the high partition is a 777 and our flight is on a 767-400 which does not have the partition separating the two seats. I would hate to win out on the bonus of BC and then not be seated beside each other. I have tried, with no sucess, to get people to swap seats before so I would rather get this sorted ahead of time. I called Delta again but the agents I spoke with have no idea and did research and couldn't tell me either. Can anyone help ? Many thanks....

I would post this question on the Delta board of flyertalk.com - lots of specific seat info there from members

I have flown in these seats several times. They are set up in a staggered 1-2-1 arrangement. Something like this:

A- <aisle> B-C- <aisle> -D
-A <aisle> -B-C <aisle> D-

The - is a relatively large table area, which serves as the footwell for the person behind you.

So... If you want to sit together, you should choose B and C seats in the same row. You will be divided by the table area, but you will definitely be close enough to converse and pass things back and forth.

Personally, I like row 1, as the footwells are much larger, but be aware that the galley is in front of you, so there might be some light and/or noise. I always wear headphones and a mask when sleeping, so never a problem for me. All in all, I think these are pretty good seats. Not perfect, but very nice. The tables can be a bit of a PITA to pop back into storage, the flat bed position can be a bit snug if you are on the larger side, and there is limited floor storage. Regardless, they are among the better business class seats available across the Atlantic.

Thanks for the replies ! I will post on flyertalk ! Wish I had htought of that...

Travelgourmet: You were on the 767 and not the 777 - correct ? Thanks again.

Yes on the 767. Flown in these seats maybe 10 times.

Great information ! Thanks a million. I just changed seat assignments from aisle seats, as recommended by the agent, to the middle seats. Thanks again.
