Delta strike

Has anyone gotten stuck in Europe due to an airline strike? What happened?

I'm flying delta on the 27th to Rome. THEY tell me there will not be a strike. Don't know the answer to your question. Anyone?

I'm going to Paris May 11, during which Delta pilots are threatening to strike. I hear the President would try to intervene....

I've not had the misfortune to get stuck by a strike, but it seems that I've seen discussion that it's best to have a 'paper' ticket rather than an e-ticket as other airlines may accept another's paper but won't do so if it's electronic. Also, you may call up Air France --- they are one of Delta's frequent flyer program partners --- and ask them if Delta should strike, would they accept that Delta ticket & book you on one of their flights.
