delta or us airways or american to london?

The cheapest tickets from my local airport to London for next May are through Delta or US Airways. American is the next closest price for about $200 more. I've flown to London on British Airways and Continental. Any opinions about Delta (767-300ER plane) or US Airways (airbus 333 plane) as opposed to American (777 plane)?

Hi PW,

See www.seatguru.com

What means more to you, individual tv monitors, an on-time flight, or one free alcohol drink?

American--Better frequent flyer miles, no free alcohol, 2x5x2 seating.

Delta--One free alcohol drink, 2x3x2 seating, no individual monitors.

US Air--Poor on time performance, however, A330's seat 2x4x2 seating, which is nice.

Personally, I'd pick Virgin.

seatguru.com is where I looked up the airplane information before I posted. American and Delta share the same pitch and width, US Airways is smaller. There have been many posts on here about Delta not being comfortable. Is that true? If the seats were equal, is American worth $200 a flight more or probably not? Any great difference in service, food, baggage, etc.?

We always fly DL to LGW. Good service, good seats, updated jets, and a free drink.

I'd keep looking. British Airways is the best, in our opinion. Free drinks, very good food, better seats on the 777. Good service, too. I found them to be very competitive pricewise.

I fly one airline (American) to keep consistent with my frequent flyer miles. Anything with 2-5-2 or 2-3-2 is fine, as long as you get the 2 for the long flight over. Frankly, I think BA is overpriced and overrated.

Hi PW,

>If the seats were equal, is American worth $200 a flight more..

Of course not.

Dear Ira: Thank you for the "moo-ving" report. It was "udderly" charming of you to "beef" up this question without the usual "stock" answers. (Sorry, I come from a long line of punsters.)

Seriously, the help on this website is great!

Not a hill of beans difference. Take the cannoli--oops, the cheapest.

>Sorry, I come from a long line of punsters.<

I think that it behooves me to horn in on your fun and muzzle you.
