Delta fall fares
 

OMG there are some super fall fares being offered by Delta. I booked back in April - I could cry when I see the current fares. Less than $800 ATL to CDG. Wishing my fellow Fodorites happy travel planning!

$800 ATL to CDG seems expensive to me, considering it was almost half to book for the spring and even fall fares back during Delta's blow-out sale last November. I even booked one from Portland to Paris for about $450 RT on Delta but canceled it because I booked something more complicated with award miles.

Delta wants $943.46 for JFK to BCN roundtrip on September 5 with a return on October 6 in economy. I sure don't think that is a good fare. I booked it using 80,000 points plus $43 in taxes a couple of days ago.

Delta out of ATL is often pricier. Sometimes I see routes - Miami or Tampa to Europe for Half the price as out of Atlanta even though it often flies through Atlanta!!!

I just booked JFK to Madrid for $500 in February.

I'm in atlanta so I'll need tickets to JFK.

The route out of Atlanta would cost 2x what I'll pay by doing it on my own. ATL to JFK and then JFK to Madrid. Atlanta to Madrid is $1400.

I get $1302 PIT-->ZRH...
As bad as it always is!
