DeGaulle to the dock at Le Pecq?

Going on the Viking Paris and the Heart of Normandy cruise in early October and booked our own flights. That means no transfers from the cruise line. How do we get from DeGaulle Airport to the docks of Le Pecq? And then from Le Pecq back to Paris for free time sightseeing? Suggestions and experiences much needed and appreciated!

RER A to Le Vésinet and a taxi for the last mile or so to the dock.

You might ask whether the cruise line would provide a transfer for you.

Was Viking asking too much or are you arriving outside their service window? If you are a typical river cruise passengers with several large luggage, this would be best done by a taxi. Ask the driver for estimate before getting on at the official taxi stop at CDG - not someone hassling you outside the taxi stand. The taxi fare estimator says 60-70Eu, but their computation can be quite off at times.

If you choose to use public transit it is a chore of luggage. It would require one train into Paris, then switch to another train (mentioned above) then taxi or bus to your dock. If you are doing this during the weekday rush hour, the train would be crowded and very awkward with luggage. You might attempt going into Paris using RER train when you are luggage free.

This map shows how buses #10 and #21 connect from Brossolette bus stop near the (presumed) boat dock to each of the two RER A1 stations.

The RER map, middle left, also shows how the RER B train from CDG airport connects to RER A train at Châtelet-Les Halles station.

The bottom part shows where the bus stops are located with respect to the RER stations. Confirm with the driver where you are going. If not busy, the driver would tell you where to get off.

You will likely find answers from travellers who have done this on the Cruise Critic River Cruising forum.

You can likely buy a transfer from Viking if you are arriving the day of the cruise.
