DeGaulle to Orly transfer in Paris

I need to transfer from DeGaulle Airport to Orly when in Paris next week. The most recent post on the subject is from 2002. Does anyone have any more current information?

You can take the RER B to Antony and the Orlyval train from there to the airport. The travel time given on this site is an hour and a half: http://www.orlyval.com/

Be sure to specify date and desired time of travel.

You'll want at least 5 hours between flights.

You do not need 5 hours between flights. The RER B takes just over an hour to link the airports.

Maybe not five hours, but plenty of time to orient yourself to find out where tickets are purchased for the RER, for waiting on line to purchase the RER ticket (it once took me 45 minutes), for waiting for the next train should you have just missed the departing one, for arriving at the ticket counter at least one hour before departure.

No, the connection doesn't take NEARLY 5 hours -- but CDG is a crappy place to arrive/clear immigration and the assorted 'logistics'. And IF one is using one of the budget airlines out of Orly you need to be there well ahead of the departure time. I wouldn't want less than 4.5 hours.

In addition the OP should make sure that the train stops in Antony, which it does not if going to Robinson.

There seems to be some confusion about the minimum time required to travel from CDG to ORY and allowing sufficient time to increase your chances of making a successful connection.

There is no guarantee that you will arrive CDG as scheduled. There is no guarantee that your luggage will arrive in a timely manner, nor that you might become somewhat disoriented and take a few extra minutes to reach the RER station.

I would allow no fewer than 5 hours between a CDG arrival and an ORY departure. Could it take less time? Probably, but what if it doesn´t.

Another possibility is the Air France Bus. More expensive and takes longer, but easier and more comfortable.
