I have been reading all the posts. I would like to change the scenario a bit and ask your opinion. I hope just “tagging on” my question onto this post is not improper. If so, I apologize ahead of time and will re-post separately.

Anyway, here it is: What if it were 2 adults, 2 kids, and one infant, with enough luggage for 11 days? I will be traveling as light as possible, but we are a big group. At first, I thought that the taxi would be the best, but will they hold all 5 of us and what about a car seat? Finally, will the taxi charge us a premium since we are a larger group?

This is the first time I will be in Paris, so I am a newbie.
We just returned from Paris and we took a shuttle to and from the airport to our hotel. There were five of us so a cab was not the best option since they will not take five. We used Parishuttle and had no problems. The shuttle was waiting for us when we walked out of the airport and picked us up right on time when we left. Others have said they had problems with shuttles but that was not our experience. We booked directly with the owner by emailing him at [email protected]. We did have to drop off other passengers and pick up others on our return, but we were not in a great hurry and enjoyed the "mini-tour" of other areas of Paris. For more than three people, the shuttle is the most reasonable way to go.
