Decisions, decisions for Paris--now or last minute
Any comments on these hotels for 2 20 year olds looking for local feel, friendly staff, and a decent sleep for their first week in Paris? From Fodor's and these forums, have narrowed choices to these:
Hotel College de France
Hotel Diana
Hotel Cluny Sorbonne
Hotel Three Colleges
Hotel Agora
Also, should we wait for last minute deals?
Thanks for help in advance.

Have you considered booking one that you can cancel w/o penalty as "insurance" and then waiting/shopping for a "last minute deal"?
It may help if you declare the dates of the visit-some times are very busy...

should we wait for last minute deals?
The deals are often for those who book early. The best deals are for those traveling in August, the low season. There are few to no deals for those traveling in September or October, the high season.

When is this trip? As Sarastro says, it would be very unlikely to get any last minute deals in Sept-Oct as it is peak hotel season.
They all look like decent suspects (or Cujas Pantheon is another possibility). I'd suggest maybe the Comfort Inn Mouffetard, also.
I don't know about the Agora, I don't think of it as a place young people would want to stay and the location isn't as good IMO. I would be amazed if you could get it that cheap, it's a 3* hotel. Its rates in October are 130-184 euro for a double.
