Headlines? where are the headlines?
And the post from "goodgollymm" is a puzzling anomaly - - I wonder why Fodor's doesn't remove it. From the time it was initially posted, a "click on" this person's screen name yields no posts. Has the name already been de-registered? If so, the (one and only?) post ought to go too. |
Oh, how the Mighty have fallen, and now go over to the ennui and psychophants. Rex, Rex-o, there's still time. You were THE free thinker, iconoclast, bon vivant, the one who dared to be different on this site of sameness. Who suffered the slings and arrows of the pre-registration days! And now, anomaly my pattootti. Be of good cheer! There's always hope. Good day.

What's in a name? Leone/Blacktie/goodgollymm, Ho Hum
|
The "headlines" are on the Fodors home page.. upper left hand corner button "Fodors - Home".
Like a wee travel newspaper! |
Dernitall... "fodors.com" anyway its above my name...
|
Hmmm... so why does a click on
http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...lymm&fid=2 yield no posts? And I still don't understand where the "headlines" are - - I know what the "home page" is, but I don't see where you mean. |
OK.. I confess, its been a tough week and a tougher day and I was crazy...and I apologize
Its that "blog" thingy... http://www.fodors.com/blog/archives/000680.cfm |
"Croustillant" ln a Vietnamese restaurant in France were spring rolls. Surprise!
|
You're forgiven SuzieC - - it must till be a tough day - - the blog entry is now passed from today's listings to the "archives", and your URL is the wrong one, but that's okay.
http://www.fodors.com/blog/archives/000678.cfm That should take care of that. |
Thanks bobfrance for resurrecting this thread with these hilarious translation errors.
Like FauxSteMarie I made a very embarrassing mistake ordering my meal in France some years ago when a chose 'rognons' http://femmesfrancophiles.blogspot.c...ver-again.html Since then I make sure that I fully understand what I am ordering a meal. It is interesting too to see how things have changed since 2004 when this post started. The talk was all about using PDAs. Now of course we think nothing about pulling out our smartphone when travelling and using 'Google Translate' to help when there is a word on a menu we don't understand. |
