I'm right there with you, Dee Dee. I can drive all over rural France without a care in the world, but 10 minutes on the périférique and I'm a nutcase. I have, fortunately, an innate sense of direction, but even I can't figure out the signs on the périférique or how to be in the right lane to exit where I think I should, which is normally completely wrong. I just detest the whole thing and want someone else to take charge of the situation.
