Da Pinto is opposite the Pescaria Rialto across the Campo delle Beccarie. If you stand with your back to the canal and the fish market, it is right in front of you. There are 2 or 3 restaurants with outdoor seating. Its pretty hard to miss. At night there is always a lot going on in the campo. Be forewarned, the food is great, wines even better but the service is slow.<BR><BR>Do Mori is in the same neighborhood. It is on Cale do Mori but my maps of Venezia dont show that street by name. It is "inland" from the fish market and in the direction of the Rialto Bridge. It is quite famous and I bet if you ask you will find it easily.<BR><BR>If you go to the vegetable market, there is a wondrful little bar to the Rialto Bridge side of the big cheese store. No name but always filled with older Venetian gentlemen drinking grappa no matter what time of day!<BR>

topping for melissa. <BR><BR>Last add, I totally disagree about the comment on not going to Murano. If you are a lover of glass and madern art, there is a small strech of very fine glass shops starting at the Colona vaporetto stop. Do not go into the various shops with sighs saying see glassmaking unless you want to see the stereotypical horse being made. Once is enough. We love Murano Collection, Franco Schiavon, Vennini, Boro and Tessovier and a little shop just past the bridge on the left when walking from Colona. I would then go on to Torcello (take the 12 vaporetto). Burano is too precious and cute for me, and most of the lace there is made in China.

nice dean! thanks for the info. I did rather like Burano though, with its colorful homes.
