Deals - Iberia

If anyone is interested it would appear that Iberia curently have good trans-Atlantic fares.

We are in the process of booking Barcelona - Miami return for 384 euros including tax.
The fares in the reverse journey seem to be $632 return. These fares were for October 2011.

I haven't seen prices this low for some time.

We will simply book an easyjest flight from the Uk to connect with Barcelona flight.

thanks for posting! I have an october ticket on hold for 24 hrs. Not many options/dates left at that price on Iberia.

But Air Europe is pricing under them for same route but with Madrid stopover. Seems there is a little price war on that route right now..

The way in which some of the airline and wholesaler websites route is simply ridiculous. We have had a hard time getting value for money this year.

I used Exepdia and the best price was around £680.

Iberia offered me £3396 (economy) for Manchester - Miami via Barcelona. Yet when you key the flights in seperately you are offered £220 Manchester Barcelona return and 384 euros Barcelona / Miami return. Using Ryanait to connect to Barcelona gets the overall Manchester / Miami return fare down to just over £400.

Which is what I was paying 10 years ago.

I'm happy but nervous about not through route ticketing and suing Ryanair as a connecting airline.

sorry that should have been "using Ryanair".

Suing Ryanair would of course be a complete waste of legal fees.

why not fly the day before and enjoy a bit of barcelona?

Is an even better idea.

What standard hotel could I afford by spending the £3000 I saved on the routing?
