DaysOutGuide 2for1 deals -- question
Hi. Just a quick question...
In July 2011 when we went to London with our kids and my hubs' parents, we used the 2for1 deals that Big Russ suggested -- got our Travelcards at Waterloo and it was great. In September 2012, I was there with just the Hubs. We went to Waterloo or Paddington and tried to buy the Travelcard so we could use the 2for1 deals, and the ticket agent said it wouldn't work anymore. Did the rules change? Or can I still by Travelcards (NOT loaded on Oysters) and use the coupons I print out? Thanks in advance. Kate |
Check out their website:
http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/ticket-types.aspx You must have got clerks who didn't know the scheme, or you went to the tube station ticket offices. |
Yes, travelcards issued at a NATIONAL RAILWAY STATION are still valid for the 2 for 1's, the only change I can remember is that you have to provide a photo for the 7 day card.

We used them in December 2012 - no problems - saved plenty on Tower admission to make it definitely worthwhile.
Also worth subscribing to Time Out emails - we got half price tix for a London Ghost Walk that was fun and informative, but they also regularly have great deals for restaurants, bars, shows and performances. |
Thanks. No, I definitely went to the right ticket office because I went to the same place I'd gone in July 2011. Maybe I just encountered a grumpy person.
I do subscribe to the Time Out e-mails, too. Great deals. |
