Day trips outside of Paris and how to do it?

Any ideas of private guides to take 6 women on day trips to Loire Valley or elsewhere for the day?

Why do you need a private guide? There are dozens of daytrips you can do on your own out of Paris, easily.

Thanks,

I thought maybe there were some more ideas about a private guide with a vehicle because we really do not want to rent a car to see the chateaux.

Angers is a delightful city, only 90 mins from Gare Montparnasse on the TGV. The chateau is a quick 10 minute walk from Gare St. Laud. A visit to the chateau will take a leisurely 2 hours, then you can head toward the pedestrian zone around Place Ste. Croix.

If you don't mind heading toward Brittany, Rennes is also a very easy day trip from Paris: 2 hours from Paris via the TGV as well.

Rennes has a very good Fine Arts Museum, highlighting 17th century French and European painters and a lovely 18th century centre ville, along with very good restaurants and creperies..

Acco Dispo does tours in private vans. But, not from Paris, you would have to take a train to one of the cities they depart from, I think Amboise is one. Check website, ( just google Acco Dispo)

Also, why not just take a big bus tour if hearts are set on only one day and not renting a car? Sure, van is nicer, but it seems like you really want something right from Paris.

PS Have you googled " private tours of Loire Valley " .. stuff like that usaully gives you some leads.
