Day trips from Village d'Ile-de-France

We are spending a week at Village Ile-de-France 18k from Paris. Is there a train into city? Where all can we go for day trips without drving? Can you hire a driver for a week? Any suggestions? Thanks

There is a free shuttle from the Village to the train station at Disneyland Paris. From there it is a 45-minute ride on the RER into the city, for about $8 (less if you buy a multiple-use ticket). Plan on two hours of commuting each way.

The only place you can go without driving is Disneyland Paris, as far as I know. For anything else, you'll need a car. There isn't anything nearby except Disneyland.

I don't know where you'd hire a driver for a week, but if you can, it will probably cost more than the hotel.

Overall, the Village Île de France is practical only if you just want to relax in the Village, or as a base to visit Disneyland. I think that's the market Marriott aims for, although apparently it is advertised as being convenient to Paris itself, when in fact it really isn't.

All of these comments apply equally to the other Disneyland satellite hotels, except that the Village is more of a resort and could easily be a nice place to simply relax without going anywhere, whereas the others are pretty much strictly hotels.
