Poolperson and Galley: can you please email me at [email protected]? This is the first Polaris trip we've been on and I have some general questions that aren't travel related, and therefore not appropriate for this forum. Thank you!

Personally I wouldn't do it without a car(but that's just our choice). We've driven all over the area many times and like the freedom of a car. It's relatively easy driving and we always found parking easily.

Besides the tried & true---Eze, Villafranche, Cap Ferrat & Bellieau(for The Rothschild &the Greek house), Antibes, St. Paul-de-Vence, Menton, Nice, also add on "The Renoir House" upon a hill in Haut de Cagnes(above Cagnes-sur-mer)and the Rinaldi Museum(same location). For the Rinaldi, way up on a hill, there is the most interesting parking structure at the top of the hill that I've ever seen.

For a more rugged hike take the train to the Eze-s-Mer train station and then trek up Philosophers' Walk or trail or whatever it's called - mainly a series of stepped stairs going from the sea way up to Eze, perched high above the coast. Apparently Neitzke was a habituee of this hike and was inspsired by it.
