Day Trips from Dubrovnik, Croatia

I am going to Dubrovnik at the end of March. I know it is too cold to go swimming but I want to take some day trips. Can anyone make suggestions for that time of year? I have read about the surrounding islands and they sound great but are the ferrys running at that time of year and are things such as restaurants and shops etc. open at that time of year on the islands? How about trips to Montenegro? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I used this tour company to go to Korcula - they have other tours, including Montenegro.

I would second the above posting. Korcula is worth a visit and you should make a trip to Montenegro. Really worth it. Mostar is also a really great place to visit and totally different. Haven't been there since the war, but have very good memories of my trip there. It's great it's possible to go there.

I'd also recommend going into Montenegro. We did it on our own as we met people on the other side but if we hadn't we would have taken the day trip recommended above with Atlas. They stopped at all of the places we went, all of which were wonderful.
