Day trips around Nottingham?

We'll be visiting my daughter in Nottingham this Frbruary for 4 days after spending 5 days in London. Does anyone have any suggestions for interesting sites/food/shopping/events etc??? Thanks!!!

we just stayed one night on our way to Scotland, but we ate at a nice Indian restaurant. Can't remember the name but it had a great honey flavored ice cream. Frozen super hard.

Woollaton Park in Nottingham (I'm not sure how you spell it) is worth a visit. If you have access to a car, the Peak District isn't far away and there are several stately homes and interesting villages in that area. The centre of Nottingham itself is quite vibrant. I suggest you do a web search for the Nottingham tourist information office for more info of what is available in the area.
