Day Trip To Northern Ireland
Wondering if finding a tour company from Dublin to Northern Ireland is a good idea? We would like to see the area and will be based in Dublin. Anyone know of any good companies? Thanks----going next month.

We toured Northern Ireland on a tour of all Ireland with CIE tours last summer. They have been around forever and have an excellent reputation. We visited Derry, the coast including Giant's Causeway and Belfast and Cavan (I think Cavan is in the North.) All were well worth seeing. Just don;t go to Belfast on the Battle of the Boyne weekend which I think is July. It can get crazy and tense- sectarian bad feelings have not gone away.

You could take a train to Belfast - see www.irishrail.ie and check out day tours from Belfast.
You could base yourself in Belfast at hotels like - Jurys Inn, Days Inn, Europa, Raddison and take day trips by bus from there to Giants Causeway, Glens of Antrim, etc.
