Day trip to Luxembourg from Brussels by car

Hi,
I'm planning to visit Luxembourg from Brussels for a day on a Sunday in May. We are 4 adults and plan to drive.
We love scenic places and not a fan of museums. We are not comfortable with any long hikes.
What are must visit places and what all can we fit in a day? We don't mind leaving at 7am and back at 9pm.
We like to see as much as possible.
Any suggestions for driving route?

Thanks

Why Luxembourg?

Not much there there but it is one gorgeous city as it is divided by a deep gorge - but little really to see besides that-otherwise a fairly modern and to many boring city.

You can drive thru the Ardennes and maybe stop in a place or two.

Or if you have not been to Bruges - much closer- drive or take the train to one of the most magically old-world looking cities north of the Alps.

Leave the E411 at Courrière, go on N 937 towards Lustin.
Visit the 'jardins d'annevoie' beautiful gardens with a lot of water.
Take 'la vallée de la molignée' N971 gorgeous winding road along a small valley and visit the castle of montaigle (ruins).
Drink a beer at nerby Abbey of Maredsous with some cheese.
Back towards Dinant. Lunch. Visit.
E411 again. Stop and visit castle of Lavaux Ste Anne (inhabitated).
further down the space center if interested.
Then Luxembourg.

I thought the scenery in the "Little Switzerland" part of Luxembourg worth seeing. Also Vianden castle.

@PalenQ - Thanks for suggestions. I'm already staying 2 nights in Ghent and doing a day trip from Brugge there and then staying 2 nights in Brussels.

@thirsdaysd - Thanks, but I guess we won't have time for that part and we are not hikers. Vianden Castle is definitely on the list.

@WionParis - Thanks for amazing suggestions. I didn't know about these places. Did quite a bit of search on these.

Which castles are best for views and must visit? List has following:
Citadelle Namur
Citadelle Dinant
Castle of Montaigle
Lavaux Ste Anne
Vianden Castle
Bourscheid Castle
Beaufort Castle
Chateau Esch-sur-Sure

I think I'll have time only for 3-4 castles. I was planning to leave at 8am from Brussels and at least reach Luxembourg City by 4pm. It is around 4 hrs of driving time, so that leaves us with 4 hrs for sightseeing.

Would really appreciate your suggestions. I never thought in my dreams, there will be so many castles on this route!!

I found Beaufort evocative, with pretty grounds, but it is ruined. Vianden is a must. Both of them are in the Little Switzerland area. I wrote of Borscheid that it was dull and dangerous. Guess you sightsee faster than I do, I would have thought two castles in four hours, especially with a drive between them.

The citadelle of namur has a great sight as it is on top of a hill overlooking the city.
Montaigne is in ruins and very romantic.
Ste Anne is smaller more recent

Thanks so much. Planning to do Namur, Dinant and Vianden. If time permits, then gardens and St Anne. Not much fan of ruins.
Any idea what time Citadel Namur opens? Found different timings at different place.

Thanks once again for all the help and suggestions.
