Day trip from Tallin to Hellsinki

We are in Tallin for a meeting for 5 days in May. We have a full day free & are thinking of taking a ferry for the day to Hellsinki. Any suggestions on which ferries and what to see for a few hours in Hellsinki?

For just a day trip I might go with the fastest ferry, the Linda Line’s catamaran, although it won't run if the weather is bad. I went with Viking, which was fine. If you have a choice of days, the price goes up the closer you get to the weekend.

For things I did in Helsinki see http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...omment-7268713 or, with pix, http://mytimetotravel.wordpress.com/...ain-and-shine/

We stayed 3 days in Helsinki then took the Tallink to Tallinn to spend 2 days there. I would hesitate booking Linda's Line since it won't run if the weather is bad, as the previous poster said.

I loved Helsinki... there is a lot to see along the wharf (the market is neat), then not far from there you have the tourist information center, I would make that my first stop and they will make recommendations on things to see if you only have a few hours.
