We did not find Volterra to be as inundated with tourists as Siena and San Gim. We did stay two nights in San Gim and thoroughly enjoyed our early mornings and late evenings when the city was virtually empty. We enjoyed our day trip to Volterra, especially the Etruscan museum and alabaster shops. Bought some beautiful pieces.
