Day trip from Paris to Rome any ideas
 

I'll be visint Paris in September for 7 days <BR>Any suggestions on day trips to Rome by train

Maybe they have a Lionel set in the "day room". <BR>

Be sure to go by way of Hammamet, Tunisia, for a taste of a completely different culture en route. Try the chicken tagine at Uncle Abdul's - out of this world! If you have time (and you WILL be a BIT pressed, so plan carefully), stop at Monte Carlo - maybe you'll win a map! <BR> <BR>

Well you wouldn't actually even have to take a train from Paris to visit Rome...a little bit of it anyway. <BR> <BR>You could visit Rome right IN Paris, at places like the Arenes de Lutece (http://www.paris.org/Monuments/Arenes/info.html), or the Thermes de Cluny (baths which were named after that famous Roman actor, George.) <BR>

Why all the sarcasm? Paris and Rome are only four inches apart in my atlas! <BR>j.
