Day trip from Florence by car?

Hello everybody,
New to this forum. First time visit to Italy.
I will be in Florence For 3 days. Two day I will dedicate to Florence (Uffizi, Academia, Duomo).
One day I would like to take a trip from Florence by car (rental, is it a given, please do not suggest to go by other means ).
I guess Siena, Piza ...
Whay you would recommend?
Thank you!

We made an impulse stop in Siena and loved it. We also loved Montalcino.

Siena and San Gimigliano (which is sort of midway between the two).

Thank you for replies.
What about a little bit more details?
Siena and San Gimigliano.... If anyone could recommend parking place and where to go, what to see? Would be nice to know good place to eat as well.

In each case there is clearly marked parking locations outside the walls (you can't drive in the towns at all). You should have no problem.

As to 'where to go, what to see?' - head into the heart of town and use google. Do you have a map of Tuscany?

Well, if you insist.

You can't park in Siena.

Thank you for replies.
So far my favorite is "use the search",
second is "Go to Pisa and climb the tower!!".
Third one "You can't park in Siena".
All of the above were very helpful.
I did use the search indeed.
There are at least seven paid parking lot around the walls of Siena...
1. Piazza Amendota
2. La Lizza Fortezza
3. Stadio
4. Faggiolone Strada di Pescala
5. Via Bastiannini
6. Il Campo Via di Fortanalia
7. Via Roma
But thing change, some people know something new, therefore all these massage boards are for...

Ira's right. You can't park IN Siena, you must park outside the walls and hike to the city proper.

Some places you can park right outside the walls (San Gimi comes to mind) and waltz right in, but not Siena.
