Day trip from Dublin?

I will be in Dublin for a week in October.
Any suggestions about day trips?
Thank you.

Hi P,

I like the south side of Dublin and Co Wicklow the best

Glendalough
Enniskerry
Greystones
Avoka
My fav is a walk along the coast road (Vico Road) from Dalkey to Killiney.

Newgrange north of Dublin would also be a nice daytrip.

We spent one day in the fascinating city of Belfast - it was an easy bus trip from Dublin and we were enthralled. Only problem was one day wasn't enough but then it never has been.

I took a wonderful day trip to Galway from Dublin. Highly recommend it.

I also did Kinsale which is a bit more involved b/c you have to take a bus and a train.

Both are beautiful and quick train rides away.

We did a day trip to Belfast on the train. About 2 hours one way. It was a nice trip.

We also went north on the DART to Malahide and Howth. Both very nice. Malahide is a really cute town. Howth is a seaside town. Again, a nice day trip and easy to do.
