Day Tours in and Around Berlin
 

My parents are coming to visit me here in Berlin and I've been searching everywhere for a company that does day tours in Berlin and to the surrounding areas. Not just the typical 2 hour city tour - but maybe to somewhere like Potsdam - a whole day tour they could get on in the morning and keep them busy until the evening. Does anyone know of a company here in Berlin that offers these kind of tours in English. Thanks!

Darn, it's for your parents. I was going to recommend Fat Tire Bike Tours. They were great in Paris and have tours in Berlin. But, it doesn't sound like that's what you are looking for!

I highly recommend Brewers Berlin tours. Terry Brewer is an extremely knowledgeable and funny guide, with lots of personal experience of Berlin. Note that some of the tour meeting point info on the site is outdated, so you should email them for the latest. I took both the all-day walking tour of Berlin and the walking tour of Potsdam. Note that both involve a lot of walking and standing - about 10 hours for Berlin and 9 hours for Potsdam. However, the older couples on the tours did just fine, better than me for sure! However, you would want to be sure your parents were up for it.
