ttt

raincitygirl Jun 9th, 2013 12:47 PM

there are some good tips there and also if you scroll down to the comments section there is a link to a news clip about organized Romanian crime and what the French police are doing to try and stop it.

cigalechanta Jun 9th, 2013 02:02 PM

raincitygirl, I scrolled down and didn't see that?

Pepper_von_snoot Jun 9th, 2013 02:17 PM

Oh, those petition people are all over Rome and Venice, too, especially in Campo San Stefano.

What a nightmare!

I pretend I am Russian and say nyet, nyet!

I was confronted by the gold ring azzholes at least 5 times when last in Paris.

The Countess de Billy tells me that under Marshal Petain, these people would have hanged in the Tuileries.

I told her, well under Petain everyone was hanged in the Tuileries!

I think the poor dear is getting senile.

Mimi, it is about the thirteenth comment; by Dani on June 9th, she has posted a link there.

cigalechanta Jun 9th, 2013 04:39 PM

rain, there was no link?

raincitygirl Jun 9th, 2013 04:49 PM

I just did it again and it is there. Did you scroll down to where it says 72 comments? It kind of looks like it ends without any comments but if you scroll once more and wait a sec it will say 72 comments and then it is the 13th one.

raincitygirl Jun 9th, 2013 04:53 PM

Mimi if you still can't find it then go to the thread titled ParisianPickpockets, I believe it is number 43 here.
Go right to last reply and scroll up about three until you see the entry by NYCFoodSnob, she has provided that same link there.

THANS RAIN

ziggypop Jun 9th, 2013 05:36 PM

cigalechanta, may I ask what is ttt? I see it often but waited to ask someone that I know will respond politely.

I like Lebovitz, even if I don't have the time to make most of his recipes.

nytraveler Jun 9th, 2013 05:41 PM

ttt is to the top

Just a way to bring the thread to the top of the list

cigalechanta Jun 9th, 2013 05:51 PM

Thanks nytraveler, to the top, I am an idiot.

raincitygirl Jun 9th, 2013 06:30 PM

There you go Mimi.
Thanks ziggypop, I didn't know how to do that. I am technically challenged.

cigalechanta Jun 9th, 2013 07:06 PM

Thanks to both Rain and ziggy.

ziggypop Jun 10th, 2013 04:29 PM

raincitygirl, I am also challenged, but I have kids.....

cigalechanta Jun 10th, 2013 04:37 PM

I encountered those asking me to sign a petition for the deaf.
They looked American, spoke English. I was about to sign til a Frenchman, nearby, shook his head saying, no, no

StCirq Jun 10th, 2013 04:42 PM

Water pistols are your friends, folks, if you're of a paranoid nature. Nothing like blotting out all the ink on a petition or squirting some Rom dude in the eye when he tries to give you a ring.

cigalechanta Jun 10th, 2013 06:08 PM

but what if the petitioner was legit, you'd be in trouble.
