Oh, George Galloway! Our neocon government recently refused him entry into Canada. I know he's a bit of a screwball but I respect any public figure who spoke out against the Iraq war before it became fashionable or mainstream to do so.
I loved the Marty Feldman skit- made me think of some of the itineraries you see posted here sometimes

He may have been against the war -- but he is a bonafide/certified nutter (and recipient of hundreds of thousands of £££ of Saddam's oil for food money BTW)

I'm not saying he isn't a nutter, but I don't believe for a second that the allegations against him regarding oil-for-food fraud, the funding of terrorism, etc. were in any way legitimate. But this isn't the lounge so I'll stop there.
Wearing a red unitard is criminal enough

Janis, I'm afraid you are guilty of repeating a libel - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4061165.stm.

caroline: Yes -- that case was settled in 2004. But later it was firmly established (both in the UK and in an investigation by the US Congress) that he, his now ex-wife and his charity DID receive the money.
