Dancing on the Seine?

I read a few travel reports on this board that mentioned people who were walking across the Seine, and came upon groups of people dancing on one of the bridges on the seine.

Is this a normal event that happens weekly, or was this just a strange occurance? It just seemed like something really cool to come across while in Paris, and I would love to see it also.

On a nighttime cruise, we saw a large crowd of dancers on the quai along the Seine...Not sure the exact location, but was on the Left Bank near the Latin Quarter. It was a fabulous sight.

Hello Anna1013:
Friends of our came across the dancers on a Sunday evening. Not on a bridge but on the quais running along the Seine. Just a bit west of Notre Dame.
They figuered it must be a group who meets there on a regular basis.

Thanks for the replies, but both of you mentioned that you saw the dancers on the quais along the seine - sorry for being ignorant about this, but what does this mean? I always thought they referred to the bridges on the seine.

The quais along the seine are the streets on either side, connected by the bridges.

Here's one story about tango on the seine:
