Dance Shops / Schools in Paris and London
I like dancing and would like to locate some shops in Paris and London where I can buy some special dance related stuffs.
Does anyone know if offjazz company has its office in Paris (I know they are in Nice). Thanks! |
I loved going into the Freeds of London store. I wore Freeds pointe shoes when I danced (many, many years ago) because they were the only ones with a strong enough shank for me. I used to tear through Capezios in no time. Anyway, I believe the store is near Trafalgar Square. It's a lovely place that brought back lots of memories for me.

Thanks
Do they have jazz stuffs as well? |

They might have jazz gear, I don?t remember. I was focused solely on the ballet items ? couldn?t see past the tutus! I tried to find them online but had no luck. Maybe someone else knows more about it. I know very little about jazz dance. Good luck!

Please, someone reply about Paris! Great question! I'm sure my 11 year old dance company member would just love to pick up some dancewear in Paris.

Dancewear store Repetto has a branch at 22 rue de la Paix in the 1st arrondissment.
There are at least 2 dancewear stores on rue de Clichy in the 9th (NB - don't mix up with boulevard de Clichy - you may come across a rather different type of "dancewear"). There is also a jazz dance studio on the same street (number 54 if I remember rightly). You can walk in and have a look - one of the main studios has a glass wall so you can watch the dancers from the lobby area. Another big dance school is the Centre de Danse du Marais, on rue du Temple. |
In London, what you want is the Pineapple studio shop in Covent Garden:
