Cyprus countryside

Hello all
We are considering a week in Cyrpus and thought we would split it between a beach resort and a stay at a quaint village in the countryside. Can anyone help.

thnx

My favourite part of Cyprus is the north west, around the Akamas area. There are some unspoilt traditional villages 20mins or so inland. There are some resorts/villages in the mountains too eg Platres, I can recommend Lofou as a village to visit and stay in Lofou Agrovino. It's quite hard to find traditional Cypriot places these days. For a beach resort, the beaches around Fig Tree Bay are lovely, but rather touristy and landscape uninteresting. That would be in the east of the island.

Thanks Odin,
I checked out Lofou Agrovino on the web and it looks great.

I can highly recommend St Georges Bay just north of Paphos and not too far from the Troodos, for the beach part of your stay, but cant advise about countryside villages.
