Cycling in Croatia?
My husband and I leave for Croatia 9/17 for 2 weeks, traveling to Split, Hvar, Brac, Korcula and Dubrovnik with ferries between. We are avid cyclists and were planning to take our folding bikes...but wonder if it's worth taking them since the islands and cities appear very hilly with lots of cobblestones. We also wonder about taking the bikes on ferries. Is there an extra charge if they are folded and in bags? Thanks for your thoughts!

yes islands are hilly
away from the towns the roads are blacktop and gravel
check the ferry details for charges

Agree the cobblestones are only an issue in town, but the towns are tiny anyway. Hills on the other hand...a bit much for me, though I am a bike commuter at home. If you have concerns about hills then likely not worth bringing your own bikes, and rental shops are common.
Two easy rides: Korcula to Lumbarda (and even nicer, among vineyards in Lumbarda)
Along coast from Stari Grad on Hvar I have heard there is a bike path
